August Classic Review: Aalta Yarn

Discover The Truth

In Italian, ‘alta’ means ‘high’ or ‘top’, the perfect inspiration for Aalta Yarn. They strive to create a range of the best yarns to create handmade heirlooms.

Your Yarnbox included three skeins of Aalta Truth, a yarn co-created with input from yarn shops and designers across the country. Truth is an extremely soft blend of 80% merino wool and 20% alpaca for a lightweight yet warm yarn with a fine twist. Each DK weight skein includes 298 yards in a 100 gram skein, giving you 894 total yards for your next project.

Top: (Either) Red Matador, (Bright) Ripe Raspberry, Tahitian Yellow, Teal For Real
Bottom: (Muted) Deep Turquoise, Postal Blue, Purple Plum, Light Grey

We’re joined by Sara Delaney, who designed two beautiful patterns to complement your yarn. The Strass Shawl is an extra long crochet wrap which can be worn as either a shawl or a scarf with a cascade of elegant lace edging and finished off with tassels.

The Creel Shawl is a cozy knit semi-crescent garter stitch shawl with a knitted-on lace edging inspired by fish fins.

Total Value of this Box: $67
3 skeins Aalta Truth: $57
Knit Pattern: $5
Crochet Pattern: $5

Your Cost: $36.95
