Free Pattern Friday: Hop To It

With spring in the air and Easter around the corner, we rounded up a full warren of rabbit themed patterns perfect for holiday decorating or fun gifts!

Bunny plush toys can be finished in just a couple hours. We love the petite Henry's Bunny by Sara Elizabeth Kellner in knit and the adorable Spring Bunnies by Stephanie Jessica Lau in crochet.

Want a bigger project? A simple cable and bobble makes the perfect rabbit motif. The Heirloom Bunny Blanket by Stacylynn Cottle would make a great gift.

The Easter Bunny C2C table runner by Sarah Boham can easily be ready for an Easter celebrate. It's a great way to use up some colorful leftover yarns.

March Luxe Review: Artyarns

What inspires you when you begin a new project?

For some us of, we start with that soft skein of yarn; for others, an exciting new pattern to try. Or maybe a new stitch to challenge us or a practical need. Wherever we begin, we create works of art from yarn and fiber.

This month, we were inspired by the luxurious fibers available in a riot of color, highlighted with the glitz and glimmer of sparkle, available from Artyarns.

Artyarns' founder Iris Schreier created a custom palette of fingering weight yarns sure to inspire. We start with a 100 gram skein of Merino Cloud, a super soft blend of 80% merino and 20% cashmere, with 436 yards. To add drape, softness and texture, a coordinating 25 gram skein of Silk Halo, a 60% mohair and 40% silk blend with 165 yards. And finally, we add a splash of shine with a 25 gram skein of Silk Halo Glitter, which adds lurex strands to the Silk Halo blend. Altogether, you have 766 yards of yarn for your next creation.

From Top: (Muted) Creams, Purples, (Either) Blues, (Bright) Reds

Iris also designed a new pattern for this yarn set, the Trevi Fountain Shawl. Using alternating sections of stitches, this shawl is a waterfall of texture with a crescent or asymmetrical shape option.

Abbey Swanson joins us for the crochet design, Dragon Wing, a light and airy asymmetrical shawl which alternates the yarns in the chevron design.

To help you along, we teamed with Bling Your String to create a notions kit. Start with the Wristlet as a base to attach tools, stitch markers and more! We've included a notions tube with a fine darning needle and polymer clay stitch marker to get you started.

Total Value Of This Box: $112
Artyarns yarn set: $94
Knit Pattern: $6
Crochet Pattern: $5 (price may change once pattern is available)
Notion Set:  $7
