January Sock Review: Yarn Fairy and the Pixies

A Fairy Dusted Fantasy!

We got up to some mischief this month with Yarn Fairy and the Pixies. Dyer Wendy McDonnell creates a beautiful range of super saturated hand-painted skeins we're featuring on Imp Sock, an 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon blend. These colorful concoctions have oversized 113 gram skeins with 433 yards of yarn to whip up a magical creation.

We featured a selection of 10 fun variegated colors ranging from the super colorful to rich and moody

Top: (Brights) Pheonix, Julia, Final Frontier, Rainwilds. (Either) Plum Varieties
Bottom: (Muted) Victorian Valentine, Seabreeze, Dark Ops, Viking, Paris

Wendy McDonnell also designs patterns and runs mystery knit-alongs through her blog. She created the Beady Sock to show off her hand painted yarn. This textured design looks great with or without beads!

Total Value $27
Imp Sock $22
Pattern $5
