Hello Yarnboxers! We are excited to announce that we will now be featuring a loom knitting pattern every other month in our box. Below is a link to the pattern and SPOILER info about this month's Classic box. Please do not click if you do not want spoilers.
For the YarnBox December Classic shipment I wanted to do an asymmetrical triangle shawl with a little added flair to it.
The YarnBut first lets talk about how amazing the yarn is this month! Not only are the colors beautiful the fiber is silky, smooth, has a nice luster, and wonderful drape. It was truly a treat to work with. For this wonderful yarn we have FeederBrook Farm to thank. This family owned and operated farm in Maryland raise a verity of Angora Goats, Sheep, Alpacas and Llamas. They also use local fiber producing farms and farms in the UK as well. All of their yarn is hand dyed and spun using dyes that comply with OTA (Organic Trade Association). The yarn this month is from their "Milk and Honey" line that is a mixture of Merino/Alpaca/Milk fiber. That's right milk, the milk fiber adds a wonderful sheen the merino and alpaca lack as well as the wonderful drape you get. You will receive 2 hanks of this beautiful yarn.
This month's pattern was made using the 150 peg 1/2 gauge universal S loom from CindWoodLooms. But can be done on ANY 1/2 gauge loom with at least 109 pegs. This pattern is good for advanced to beginner loom knitters. With a 20 row repenting pattern there are no complicated graphs or charts to follow. There is also a beginning to end video and video clips for every step of the project. This fun project will be sure to keep you warm for the cold months ahead.
