Free Pattern Friday: Fingering Fancies!

These fingering weight pieces have some interesting and fancy construction. Use your scraps to make a gradient or one solid color to show off the way it is made. 

This crochet shawl is made by short rows of asymmetric chevrons. 
I can't wait to make this one for myself. So cute! 

This knit shawl is so interesting with it's tiny tails that really do look like butterfly wings.
